About This Event

Prepare for an avalanche of your favorite music you might not have realized was in the 2000s. It's a bit of a challenge because some of it is recent - but that's the fun part. Mix in your favorite tunes from 10-15 years ago, rediscover old favorites, and bring it to life on stage at Songbyrd Music House on July 9th!

For this show, we are excited to announce Anti-Social Collective as the headlining "alumni" band!! ASC formed at the 2014 Virginia Thanksgiving Showcase and has been performing a few gigs a month ever since. Like them on Facebook and check out this video. ASC is a stacked lineup of Flashband veterans: Rico Morales - vox/guitar (11 showcases), David Rothman - guitar (11 showcases), Arnaud Cornair - bass (12 showcases), and Freddy Duran - drums (4 showcases).

For 2000s revitalization stimuli, check out our Flashband 2000s Collaborative Playlist on Spotify! Or, check out this solid Wikipedia article on 2000's music.

The Anti-Social Collective

We formed via Flashband and we return to headline this event to bring rock to all! We're actually fairly social dudes.

Pop Rox

Flashband Alumni pulling 2000's songs from their catalog, plus a modern day original.

The Scrubs

The Scrubs formed after guitarist Travis Valle’s returned from winning a scorpion eating challenge in the Arizona desert and attending Burning Man with Zach Braff. He Myspaced former babysitter and drummer Athena Kopsidas who just left touring with S Club 7. Knowing guitarist and vocalist Michael Wohl’s contract with the band O-town was ending, Athena reached out to collaborate on this no soul sucking venture. Bass player Reggie Melbrough joined the band after a chance meeting with Travis after getting fired from his job at a Range Rover dealership.

Coming soon...like the first X-Men movie.

Flashband Platinum Award Winners

The New Columbians

Everyone knows squirrels know how to rock and roll, but only the New Columbians are bold enough to take it one step further. Prepared to be amazed by a melodic cacophony of tone and rhythm.

Should we extend this to include 1999 ??? I'm finding so many albums that were released in 1999 but were super popular in the early 00's....
