About This Event

Some might call it the most transformative decade in popular music. Many of the genres created in the 70's still exist today.  Now's your chance see some one-month bands rock out to the greats. Dylan, Skynyrd, Ramones, Nicks, Floyd, Gaye, Queen - all right there in their musical sand box. Bands are putting together a ~15 minute / 4 song set of material from and inspired by the 70's. In the usual Flashband fashion, each band is expected to write and perform at least one original song. Read more about how the Flashband Showcases work.

The Show

In the weeks after the meet & greet, bands are practicing with their Flashband and getting prepared for the show!  This Showcase will be held at Iota Club & Cafe in Arlington, VA.  It's a great venue that's known for live music.

I'd love to form a 70s punk band, a la Pistols, Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Ramones. The shit is pretty easy to learn. Y'know, three chords
