About This Event

With fall already upon us, soon you won't be able to turn the corner without tripping over a pumpkin. This Flashband showcase will celebrate the season with a Thanksgiving themed show at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA. Whether you want to do a take of Bob Marley's Give Thanks and Praise, a really cheesy ABBA cover or just songs by the band The Gourds, bring your instrument and join a temporary band for the Flashband Thanksgiving Showcase.

Interested in performing? Musician signup is open until the meet-and-greet jam date of October 12.

The Rules

  • Any genre or style of music
  • Each band performs a 4-song / 15 minute set
  • At least one original song written as a band after forming
  • At least one song needs to relate to the Thanksgiving theme

Any of the bands are still in need of a female singer/backup/percussionist? Missed the jam due to unexpected issue. Let me know!

For this event I'm thinking of sounds ranging from Wilco to Black Keys. Songs about food and gratitude. I can do electric & upright bass
